LIST FULFILLMENT
 Initially,
Bamberg-Handley, Inc. establishes a database of your customer files with codes for
the products you sell. Every month, as you sell more, records of
additional purchasers are added in the same format. With no effort on your
part, the list may be rented to others. You do nothing more than collect
payments for each rental.
The expenses you incur would be commission to the sales agent and modest fees to
Bamberg-Handley, but only when rental occurs. The majority of revenue stays with you.
Typically, lists of past customers rent for $75 to $150 per thousand. That means that rentals of one million records would generate
between $75,000 and $150,000. The same record may be rented to dozens of
different companies and often is. As the list owner, you would always have
the right to veto any rental.
While every database is different, here are some of the fees which often
apply:
